The Lotus Eaters-
A Classic 80's New Romantic band from Liverpool,
England. They released 5 classic singles including their minor hit in the U.K
" First Picture of You". The Lotus Eaters primarily Consists of Peter
Coyle and Jeremy Kelly. After their last single " It Hurts " the band
broke up and Jeremy reformed the Wild Swans with Paul Simpson. Meanwhile, Peter
Coyle started his own solo career. Almost 14 years later, Lotus Eaters reformed
and released " Silent Space " on Vinyl Japan. This releas is a more
of a neoacoustic album. I recommend this album to anyone. The Shoegazer
is working to have the Lotus Eaters play live in Los Angeles. Stay Tuned.

Seona Dancing- Seona
Dancing released 2 singles. 1 was their most memorable single " more to
lose " which is a classic Newwave song and their 2nd single " Bitter
Heart " with a more danceable tune. These 2 singles is a Collector's Item
now. If you find these 2, I recommend getting them.

The Jesus and Mary Chain-In
my opinion, The Jesus and Mary Chain started the so called Shoegazer Scene.
They influenced a bunch of Shoegaze bands including My Bloody Valentine, Ride,
Adorable, Chapterhouse, Slowdive to name a few. They came from East Kilbride,
Scotland with black shades and black leather trousers. They released their single
" Upside Down" on Creation Records, this single really put Creation
on the Map. JAMC released 9 albums and bunch of singles. I recommend getting
Darklands, Psychocandy, Honey's Dead, Automatic and Stoned and Dethroned.

The Charlatans-Ever
heard of the Madchester scene? Well this is one of the bands that started the
craze. They released their classic Madchester song " the only one I know
" with that wah wah guitar and madchester drums. They released a bunch
of singles and still is around today. I recommend getting their first album
" some friendly " and " between 10th and 11th ".

The Telescopes-The
Telescopes were another shoegazer band that came from England. They were on
different record labels including " What Goes On " and " Creation
". They released a handful of singles including the classics "
Everso", " Celeste ", "Flying " and " Precious
Little". They broke up in the mid 90's but are back again with their new
album " Third Wave ".

The Railway Children-These
lads from England released a bunch of classic singles on Factory Records and
Virgin Records. They were an underrated Manchester band and due to that, they
never got noticed. I recommend getting their singles " Brighter ",
" A Gentle Sound ", " Over and Over ", " Every Beat
of the Heart ". If you like Britpop music then you'll like this band.

Slowdive-Another
Shoegazing band that came from England. They released a bunch of singles on
Creation Records including the classics " Slowdive e.p ", " Holding
Our Breath e.p " and " Morningrise e.p ". They released 3 albums
including the sought after " Pygmalion". Slowdive broke up because
they were tired of shoegazing and started a new band called Mojave 3.

The Close Lobsters-These
band was part of the C86 Indie Scene because of their jangly guitars and melodic
voice. They released a bunch of hard to find singles on Fire Records. They also
released 3 albums. I recommend getting any Close lobsters you see.

Moose-These 90's
shoegazing band turned britpop turned folkpop became cult heroes. Moose releaesd
a bunch of shoegazer singles on Hut Records including " Cool Breeze ",
" Jack ", " Reprise ". After Hut dropped Moose, they went
on to go to different record labels and releasing a few albums that is now CLASSIC.
If you ever find any Moose stuff, grab it.

Chapterhouse-Another shoegazing band from Reading, England. Chapterhouse released a bunch of classic singles including " Pearl ", " Mesmerize ", " Sunburst ", and " Freefall ". Their debut cd whirlpool is now a classic shoegaze album. After releasing their first l.p, they released the disappointing blood music. Soon after that they broke up but before they did, they released a collection of rare Chapterhouse compilation entitlted " Rownderbout ". Anything from Chapterhouse except blood music I recommend.
